Graduate Students
Orenthal James
Aerospace Engineering
Orenthal spends as much time looking at SpaceX launches as he does looking at himself in the mirror. In his spare time, he enjoys tricking brothers with his magic skills and “clearing his mind” while cruising through the highway in his beloved white Ford Bronco.
Benjamin Burke
Chemical Engineering
As Massachusetts Native nothing escapes the penetrating eyes of Mr. Burke. When he’s not throwin' ched or crushin’ p-sets he can usually be found rallying the troops for IM sporting events.
Arnold Su
Mathematics with Computer Science
A swimmer from Irvine, California, Arnold has been on his best behavior recently. He hasn’t been arrested in 4 weeks!
Vedantha Venkatapathy
Computer Science and Engineering
Hailing from Redmond, Washington, Big V is the most polarizing figure on campus. Whether he’s on the squash court talking insane amounts of trash, only listening to Disney Movie theme songs, or training a new generation of Jordan Belfort’s in the MIT Bitcoin Club, Big V is always in the GOAT conversation.
Class of 2025
Cooper Price
Computer Science, Economics, and Data Science
Hailing from Austin, Texas, our #1 pledge dreams of living in a waterfront Miami mansion. When this heavyweight rower is not on the Charles, you can find him feasting on a nice Southern BBQ.
Kevin Guo
Artificial Intelligence and Decision Making
A Massachusetts man, Kevin may just be the next Justin Bieber. Beyond impressing all with his singing and guitar, Big Kev can be spotted in an 8 on the Charles as part of the heavyweight crew team, and, even while rowing, he is making coin mining crypto 24/7.
Shepard Jiang
Computer Science and Engineering
A handsome Asian man originating from the streets of Princeton, NJ, Mr. steal-yo-girl Jiang is only out here taking dubs. When he isn’t gracefully gliding through the water doing freestyle he is gracefully gliding into the DM’s of all 29 girls that hit him up after his brilliant (and bootylicious) performance at serenades. This man’s exploits are surely ones to watch out for.
Dylan Robinson
Physics and Mathematical Economics
Joining us from Hong Kong, London, and New Jersey, our very own Asian Harry Potter… I mean Dylan, has a habit of being an absolute menace––whether in English or Chinese. Alternatively, you can find him aggressively stroking the water out on the Charles, where he rows on the lightweight crew team, or aggressively pitching a stock at his business club, where he struggles to stay awake during weekly meetings.
Yicheng Huang
Computer Science and Engineering and Mathematics
Hailing from Albany, New York, Yicheng is the resident Pocket Hercules. Do not let his 5’8” (claimed, but measured at 5’2”) figure fool you, for he can squat 425lbs and bench 250lbs. Majoring in 6-3 and a recent walk-on to the T150s, Yicheng can usually be found at the boathouse either lifting or getting in extra meters, if he is not walking over from the Far Lands (Next).
Eric Hong
Mathematics with Computer Science
Hailing from Seattle, Washington but born in the streets of Chicago, Eric is a tall cutie who is perfect boyfriend material. When he is not killing it on the water rowing, this D1 student athlete can often be found deep in thought playing chess (or sleeping during lecture). Beneath his quiet exterior is a very genuine and funny person; ladies don’t be afraid to reach out to him ;)
Kevin Waku
Mechanical Engineering
Born in Lyon and raised in Lawrenceville, GA, Kevin Waku is an aspiring course 2 with the most breathtakingly striking eyes you’ll ever see… but I digress. Ins free time, Kevin enjoys playing soccer (football) and rooting for his favorite team, Paris Saint-Germain.
Ryan Xiao
Aerospace Engineering
Hailing from Cary, North Carolina, Ryan is a very chill and laid back man. When not grinding out psets or sleeping through house meetings, Ryan can be found destroying his opponents on the tennis courts. Legend has it, Djokovic wanted to be his ball boy.
Sasha Jovanovic-Hacon
Mathematics and Computer Science
Hailing from the depths of Siberia, Sasha brings only smiles to the house. To hide his past life as a spy, he spends time rock climbing and rowing for the MIT crew. Although “beast” and “hype” are regular parts of his sentences, he somehow manages to attract the opposite gender.
Abe Ejilemele
Computer Science and Engieering
Hailing from Houston, Abe claims he can’t dance but is the only one I know who’s successfully moonwalked. A 6-3 who is almost 6’3’’, when he’s not grinding out psets you can find him working out his thumb on tiktok.
Adrian Anaemeje
Mathematics and Computer Science and Engineering
Coming from Wayne, New Jersey, Adrian is the most calm and collected individual you will ever meet. Blessed with a massive brain, Adrian hopes to major in 6-3 with a possible double major in mathematics. Aside from his intelligence, Adrian possesses great speed, witnessed by the brothers who tragically struggled to chase him down after he pledged.
Nicolas Stone Perez
Computer Science, Economics, and Data Science
Coming to us from Miami, Florida, Nicolas Stone Perez is one of the nicest and most athletic guys you'll meet on campus. Our resident Irishman, when he’s not stopping goals on the turf as a member of the MIT soccer team, Nick can be found serving up aces for the MIT volleyball team.
Cameron Dougal
Urban Science and Planning with Computer Science
Cameron is an intense, charming, and hardworking fellow. As part of the rowing team, he makes any body of water his friend. Legend says he carries a very large rowing paddle everywhere he goes in the rare case he needs to paddle his way through.
Saechow Yap
Mechanical Engineering and Computation
Aside from his tenacity on the squash courts, Saechow is a pretty chill dude. Always getting stuff done quickly and with a smile, he flourished as one of our social chairs. However, we can all agree that the Brandeis mixer was not his best moment.
Class of 2026
Amir Kolic
Mathematics
Amir is a man that knows no bounds. A weapon in the classroom and a hazard on the dance floor, when Amir isn’t busy running things, he’s tearing the place down. He was driving motorcycles at age 10 and has made a metal guitar cover of the SpongeBob theme. Add having a conversation with him to your bucket list.
Gabriel Sanchez
Chemical-Biological Engineering
Coming to us from Chicago IL, we have Gabriel Sanchez, the heart and soul of the class of ‘26. This gentleman is the most heartwarming member, always there to support his brothers and give them advice. Don’t let his wholesome demeanor fool you, this drummer can be seen appearing on the Phi Sig social events awakening his party side. The world isn’t ready for this beast!
Lucas Puig
Mathematics with Computer Science
Coming from Mechanicsburg, PA and being a part of Army ROTC, Lucas plans on enrolling in the Army after graduating in Course 2. This absolute weapon of a man, when not paintballing or snowboarding, loves to munch on food of any kind, but particularly steak and red meat.
Nick Gilligan
Physics
Nick is an expert with the saxophone. His musical capabilities clearly elevate him to a level above everyone else in a room. Besides music, Nick enjoys solving physics problems and torturing himself on the ERG to improve his rowing skills.
Ricardo Carrillo
Mathematics and Computer Science and Engineering
As someone who spends more time at the ping-pong table than at the dance floor during parties, Ricardo is a man of pure determination. The wordle stands no chance against this cold-blooded man and his 107 day streak.
Eugene Jiang
Physics and
Mathematics with Computer Science
Eugene is quite an exquisite character. Hailing from the humble city of Baton Rouge, Eugene balances the academic rigor of an MIT physics major with his swimming career. Eugene is a man with a sense of humor and likable personality, but also has all the right moves to serenade the ladies, defining himself as “good at twerking.”
Jacky Zhao
Mathematics and Computer Science
Jacky hails from Flushing, NYC. An excellent Tae Kwon Do fighter, there are rumors of him having killed a man with just his thumb.
Alex Horne
Finance and
Computer Science and Engineering
Flying in from Denver, Colorado, Alex is a very mysterious man. With a smile that must hide something, he rides the wild waves of the Charles’ River with the sailing team.
Kene Nnolim
Urban Science and Planning with Computer Science
An exquisite gentleman hailing from NYC, Kene has many great qualities, but being able to drive is not one of them. Kene spends his free time being a menace on GeoGuessr and stopping the other Phi Sigs from being hit by cars.
Matthew Curtis
Finance and
Computer Science, Economics, and Data Science
If you didn't already know by now, Matt hails from St. Louis, where the pizza is top-notch and the beer is second to none. When he isn't working hard on his charitable organization, taking over the world, or eating a triple burger, you can find the BFG rowing for the heavyweight crew team or stubbornly defending his many questionable takes.
Samuel Dowd
Physics and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
Sam comes from Omaha, Nebraska, which is obvious from his love of Boba and his spot on the Heavyweight Rowing team. When Sam isn't grinding problem sets or meters on the erg, you can find him drawing or running back to Baker from frat parties.
Graham Guite
Computer Science
Graham plays a mean saxophone and once solved a Rubik's Cube one-handed in under ninety seconds. To put it simply, Graham's dexterity is categorically unparalleled. Graham has a gentle soul; rumor has it that he tends to his pumpkins every morning before hitting the Charles. After taking a year off to backpack across Europe, Graham is back at MIT, always dressed to the nines.
Class of 2027
Gus Berne
Aerospace Engineering
I'm very in touch with my feminine side! I love gardening, pilates, knitting, and Starbucks! Ladies hit me up!
Remington Kim
Math and Computer Science
Hailing from the exotic lands of Paramus, Nj, Remington Kim can often be found pondering the biggest questions of our time, such "What is the speed of Dark?" and "What if there were no hypothetical questions?" earning him the nickname "The Philosopher".
Anish Mudide
Computer Science and Molecular Biology and Mathematics
Anish is definitely a crowd pleaser. Hailing from the great city of Acton, MA, he is the embodiment of a good time. When Anish is not busy being a gentleman or a scholar, you can find him singing in the shower and saving orphaned kittens.
Jake Geoghegan
Mechanical Engineering
A mischievous knave with a penchant for others’ Vineyard Vines ties. Between his debonair fashion, lusciously golden locks, and beguiling wit, one can hardly consider Jake any less than the most charming fellow around. He regularly saves pets from burning buildings and lends out his Rolls Royce upon request. A selfless soul if ever there was one.
Liam May
Mathematics and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
Joining us from Long Island, when Liam isn’t busy hauling laundry bags full of bananas across the Harvard bridge, you can find him on the Charles as perhaps the heaviest member of the heavyweight crew team. Despite these commitments, he still plans to find time to major in math.
Ekeoma Osondu
Artificial Intelligence and Decision Making
AK is a glorious man and our resident baller. Aside from being an absolute stud muffin, AK enjoys balling out on the volleyball court and writing some mean code. AK plans to use his talents to make an AI robot to do his psets for him. He is a man of many talents, but dirty dancing to anaconda is not one of them.
Fabricio Neira
Biological Engineering (Pre-med)
From Madison, Mississippi, Fabricio has a passion for helping people through medicine and biological engineering. An avid soccer fan, you can find him perfecting his skills or watching what's left of the Barca squad :0
Nico Mangiafico
Mathematics
Nico the magnifico. When he's not tearing it up on the soccer field, he's practicing his skills as a coding wizard in 6.1010. The true enigma of Phi Sig. Not even Nic Stone can track him down. But a truly inspired performance at serenades made up for his elusiveness.
Class of 2028
Sami Labidi
Physics and Computer Science
Sami is our resident theoretical physicist, having already acquired a minor in physics as a freshman. He's not to be trifled with in a game of poker either. Don't let his calm outer shell trick you, he'll pounce on your bluff and take you for everything you're worth. He's a wonderfully grounding presence, and you can always count on him to be in a good mood, enjoying good conversation and good company.
Gidean Karp
Computer Science and Electrical Engineering and Physics
As the most calm and collected man in the class, Gidean is a refreshing presence to have in any room. Gidean can be found practicing his exceptional swimming skills and lifting huge weights. When not being an athletic menace, this sharp gentleman fearlessly tackles his heavy courseload.
SangHyuk Im
Computer Science and Mathematics
Hailing from the far lands of Irvine, California, Sang is a bundle of energy that lights up any room he enters. Despite being dropped on the head as a child, he’s quite the academic weapon. When not dominating on the tennis court, Sang can be found cranking out PSets or sleeping until 1pm on weekdays.
Eddie Wei
Computer Science and Mathematics
Hailing from the bland suburbs of Massachusetts, Eddie is even more bland. You may know him as the fellow of the shortest stature in Phi Sig. He can be spotted at Tea-Do drinking Boba, crocheting in the nursing home, and in the Next House bathroom stall popping a squat. He is most notably known for his acts of serenading the ladies of MIT, and his legacy shall be passed down for eternity.
Brian Li
Computer Science and Mathematics
Brian is a very talkative and friendly guy. From the Bay Area, Brian is the most typical and obnoxious Warriors fan out there. Most days you see him going to what he calls the “gym”, which is actually the courts where he’s bricking shots. He also loves his math and computer science and was thinking of doing a Leetcode contest during his bar shift at a party.
Eric Chung
Computer Science
Eric Chung is a fun guy to be around. Outside of being a part of MIT's rowing team, he likes dress like an asian dad and catch fish (both the animal and women) in his free time. While he is a D1 athlete, he is also a D1 procrastinator. On a pledge retreat to New Hampshire, he called shotgun just to finish both his 8.01 and 5.111 pset an hour before their due date.
Andy Simcoe
Computer Science and Electrical Engineering
Andy, coming in from Arlington, Massachusetts, is an embodiment of Phi Sigs values of class and respect. His endearing smile, calming voice, and deep dark eyes soothe the spirits of anyone he meets. When not pursuing a degree in Course 6-5, he finds inspiration in the Oxford study and enjoys playing smooth jazz on the piano.
Joseph Ortega
Computer Science and Mathematics
Joseph “D1 Athlete” Ortega, hailing from Chicago, can usually be found on the ERG or on the elevated surface as Phi Sig’s best emerging new DJ. Despite it always being his first time playing, be careful you don’t fall to his beginners luck while playing poker. Short asian ladies, hit him up.
Akshat Chaudhary
Mechanical Engineering
"There lived a certain man in Singapore long ago. He was big and strong, in his eyes a flaming glow." - is how Singaporean Army members start their tales when a new recruit brings up the name of ex-member Akshat. Besides being a big, bad guy in the Army, Akshat is also one of the best physics students in the world, having represented Singapore in the International Physics Olympiad. Overall, Akshat is a great guy to be around.
Teddy Gurtsak
Aerospace Engineering
Where to I even start about the famous Theodore "Teddy" Gurtsak? A man who fears nothing, not even the heights of campus, Teddy is willing to soar above all to pursue his dreams. With a jawline that can kill on touch, Teddy tried to use that weapon in the service of his nation, but was deemed far too deadly and beautiful to bring into combat.
Paddy Garman
Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science
First comes the stunning looks, then the accent and brilliant charm, this young British stud will hold you deep in his arms. If you need someone to lean on he’s your guy…unless his back is hurting from being a D1 rower.
Lucas Ochis
Biomedical Engineering (Pre-med)
Hailing from St Andrew’s school (very unique) (did you know that they filmed dead poets society there?) Lucas likes to say he’s from Philly but he isn’t. When he’s not suffering from strange Charles-borne diseases, you can find him pretending to study in baker 2-west for no particular reason, or dropping mega steady state watts from the 4 seat of a heavies boat.
